This is.... Maesycrugiau

Maesycrugiau is in a very quiet, rural area with very little traffic and low population, and is therefore quite a haven for wildlife. The wide variety of birds include buzzards, red kite, woodpeckers, nuthatches, and kingfishers . Among the mammals, we boast otters, badgers, foxes, and mink. Flora is also abundant, and some species that have become rare elsewhere in the UK still flourish here. The Old Railway Inn

What is there to do???

The majority of visitors come here for the peace and quiet, which we have in abundance. Some of course, come for the salmon and sea trout fishing, whilst others come walking in the miles of forestry tracks. If you need something busier, our nearest town is Llandysul around five miles away, with all the usual facilities including post office, banks, chemists, takeaways and minimarkets.

The larger towns in the area are:

Carmarthen (12 miles away) with a market, large supermarkets and a wide range of shops, restaurants, cinema etc.

Lampeter (8 miles away), ancient University town with supermarkets and a range of shops.

Cardigan (16 miles away), on the Teifi estuary, has an art centre with cinema, theatre and gallery.

There are a large number of holiday cottages for rent in the area.
